Manchester United are planning at least four signings for this summer's transfer window.

Erik ten Hag will take charge as the new manager from May 23, but talks are already underway over possible summer targets.

According to The Telegraph, the Dutchman is eyeing two central midfielders on top of a versatile forward and a centre-back.

Frenkie de Jong has emerged as the prime midfield target, but United may find it difficult to convince him over a transfer.

While Barcelona are prepared to sell him for the right price, the 25-year-old wants to play in the Champions League next term.

United can't offer him that which could force them to look elsewhere.

Meanwhile, a separate report from ESPN claims that a new goalkeeper could be pursued if Dean Henderson pushes for an exit.

A right-back is not a priority, but the hierarchy are also looking at a potential upgrade on Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot.

The duo have not made a single goal contribution this campaign.
