Ten Hag to keep Ronaldo at United

Incoming Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has insisted that he plans to work with Cristiano Ronaldo next season.

The Portuguese rejoined the Red Devils from 12 years last summer, and he has since impressed with 24 goals in all competitions.

Despite this, there have been doubts regarding his future, but Ten Hag has now emphasised that he plans to keep the 37-year-old.

"I want to keep Cristiano at Man United, of course. He has been very important for this club. Ronaldo is a giant, because of everything he has shown so far and because of how ambitious he is," he told De Telegraaf.

Ronaldo has singlehandedly won several games for United this term, but there has still been criticism from some section of fans.

It now appears for certain that he will continue at Old Trafford next season, but the Red Devils could still pursue a quality striker.

There has been a lack of quality when the Portuguese has been injured. Ronaldo may not have a guaranteed starting spot next term.
