Erik ten Hag wants 24-year-old star at Man Utd

Ajax's Jurrien Timber has been linked in recent weeks, but it is now reported that the Dutchman is eyeing a deal for his teammate Martinez.

The Argentine has been instrumental at the heart of the defence, averaging two tackles, two interceptions and three clearances per game this term.

He has completed over 90 per cent passes in the same period. After the success together at Ajax, Ten Hag now wants him at Old Trafford.

Ajax are willing to sanction his sale for around £30m, and a deal could be straightforward with the defender likely to favour a reunion with Ten Hag.
