Man Utd eye part-exchange deal for Nunez

Manchester United are reportedly prepared to make an audacious player-plus-cash offer for Benfica striker Darwin Nunez.

Nunez has been earmarked as United's top striker target, but he won't come on the cheap with a price tag of €100 million.

The Red Devils are reluctant to pay the figure, and are hopeful of lowering the final sum by negotiating a part-exchange deal.

According to journalist Erkem Konur, United are willing to offer Martial as a makeweight to reduce the overall transfer fee.

Martial had been out-of-favour during the first half of the campaign, and he was loaned out to Sevilla at the turn of the year.

He had a tough time in LaLiga amid injuries and poor form, and it remains to be seen whether Benfica are interested in him.

Even if they are, Nunez could turn down advances from United as he is keen on playing Champions League football next season.

Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have recently emerged as strong favourites to sign the Uruguayan, who netted 34 goals last term.
