Man Utd ready £60m bid for Brazilian striker

Evanilson to Man Utd?

Manchester United are ready to make a fresh bid of around £60m to sign Porto striker Evanilson this summer.

The Red Devils were determined to sign Darwin Nunez from Benfica this month, but the Uruguayan decided to snub them for Liverpool.

They have now switched their focus towards Evanilson, who could pursue a bigger challenge after a stand-out season at Porto.

United recently failed with an opening offer of around £55m for him, and it is now reported that a fresh bid of £60m will be made.

The Red Devils are quite positive about their chances of signing the Brazil international with Jorge Mendes playing a part.

The super-agent has been appointed to negotiate, and there is optimism that he could be signed for less than Porto's £70m price tag.

Evanilson bagged 21 goals and five assists for Porto last term. Aside from his goal involvements, he impressed with his hold-up play.

The 22-year-old is a centre-forward by trade, but has the knack of dropping into deeper attacking positions when out of possession.
