Liverpool make transfer decision on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Liverpool have decided to keep Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for the final year of his contract.
The England international was used sparingly by manager Jurgen Klopp last term, and it was claimed that he could push for an exit.
A price tag of around £10m was mentioned earlier this month, but Liverpool Echo cites that the Reds are no longer looking to sell him.
The club have postponed their plans for a central midfielder until next summer, and hence don't want to lose the services of Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The news could be a potential blow for West Ham United, who were looking to prise him away. The club were open to playing him in attack.
It remains to be seen how Oxlade-Chamberlain reacts to the decision. He is unlikely to make the World Cup with his current lack of game time.
The 28-year-old has not played for his country since November 2019, and a comeback looks far away unless he starts playing regularly.
