Brazilian attacker determined to join Manchester United

Brazilian attacker Antony is determined to join Manchester United during the ongoing transfer window, Goal claims.

The 22-year-old was signed by manager Erik ten Hag for Ajax in 2020, and he is now keen on a reunion with the Dutchman.

Ten Hag was officially appointed as United's head coach last month, and Antony is now determined to work with him.

Antony had a superb 2021/22 campaign with Ajax, registering 12 goals and 10 assists from 32 appearances in all competitions.

He made all of his appearances from the right wing. It is a position that United need to bolster ahead of the new league campaign.

They have lacked sufficient creativity from the role over the past few years, and Antony would be a quality acquisition for them.

However, he won't come on the cheap with Ajax firm on their valuation. The Dutch champions are set to demand over £50m.

It remains to be seen whether United make such a huge outlay for him.
