Arsenal identify Lisandro Martinez alternative?

Arsenal have identified Oleksandr Zinchenko as the alternative target to Ajax's Lisandro Martinez this summer.

The Gunners were keen on landing Martinez last month, but it is now looking highly likely that he will join Manchester United.

Amidst this, the north London club are looking at alternatives, and The Athletic claim that Zinchenko is the back-up choice for them

Mikel Arteta wants a quality left-back to compete with Tierney, and Zinchenko could a superb acquisition ahead of next season.

Zinchenko has vast experience in the Premier League with Manchester City, and he could be available for an affordable fee of £35m.

Arsenal were prepared to pay an identical sum for Martinez last month, and they should be able to afford Zinchenko's signature.

Personal terms may not be much of a concern, considering Zinchenko had a superb relationship with Arteta when he was City's assistant.

If Zinchenko were to join the Gunners, Nuno Tavares is expected to move on on loan with interest from Real Sociedad as well as Marseille.
