Chelsea scouts have been monitoring the progress of Croatia under-21 international forward Roko Simic, and are ready to table a bid of 15 million euros for the RB Salzburg starlet. 18-year-old forward Simic has caught the eye since his emergence at on loan club Liefering, who are a feeder team to RB Salzburg, scoring 19 goals in 24 games.

Roko Simic is the son of AC Milan and Croatia defensive legend Dario Simic, and was born in Milan during Simic's spell at the club. The 6 foot 3 striker has been a revelation for Croatia's youth teams as well, scoring 6 goals in 8 games.

However, it is understood that Red Bull Salzburg will not stand in Simic's way should the forward seek to leave Austria for the Premier League. Salzburg had hoped to play Simic on a regular basis this coming season, but the 15 million euro fee will be well received by RB, as the club look to bolster their own squad ahead of the upcoming season.

Simic is described as an "electric" striker, powerful in the air and excellent with the ball on the ground, and is tipped for the very top at international and club level.
