Man Utd readying fresh bid for Brazilian star

Manchester United are prepared to make a fresh transfer bid for Ajax winger Antony, according to Goal.

The Red Devils have identified the 22-year-old as one of their top transfer targets after the recommendation of manager Erik ten Hag.

They made an opening proposal of €60m for him this month, but Ajax made it clear that it would require at least €80m to sanction his exit.

United are still reluctant to meet the valuation, but Goal claim that they are prepared to test Ajax's resolve with an improved transfer offer.

Antony has already agreed personal terms with the Red Devils, and he is said to be keen on a reunion with his former Ajax head coach.

Ten Hag likewise wants to reunite with the right-winger, but the transfer saga could go down to the wire, considering Ajax's firm stance.

Antony had a solid 2021/22 season with Ajax with 22 goal contributions. He would be a quality signing for United if they can get a deal done.
