David Ornstein confirms Arsenal's interest in Youri Tielemans
Arsenal are still keen on landing the services of Youri Tielemans from Leicester City, reputed journalist David Ornstein claims.
The Belgian was among the initial targets for the Gunners this summer, but they have yet to make an approach for him.
The Foxes were eyeing £30m for Tielemans last month. The Gunners are aiming to delay negotiations to lower the fee.
Speaking to NBC Sports, Ornstein has now confirmed that there is definitely an interest from the Gunners in Tielemans.
He added that the Belgian's departure may depend on someone leaving.
Ornstein provided the update on Sunday afternoon, and Arsenal have since confirmed the departure of Lucas Torreira.
The Uruguayan has made the move to Galatasaray for £5m. His departure could lead to a formal approach for Tielemans.
The 25-year-old has already agreed personal terms with the Gunners. He is said to be eager to make the switch to the club.
Leicester are bound to lower their price tag for the midfielder, considering his contract expires at the end of the campaign.
