Chelsea still short of Wesley Fofana price tag
Chelsea are still short of meeting Leicester City's valuation for Wesley Fofana, according to The Telegraph.
The Blues are determined to sign the centre-back this month, and they have already made two bids for him.
Their latest stands at £70 million, but it is still £10m short of the Foxes' £80m price tag for the central defender.
Hence, the onus is on the Blues to improve their offer or else the Foxes are prepared to keep hold of Fofana.
The 21-year-old has already agreed personal terms with the Blues, but he is unlikely to push for a departure.
The Foxes handed him a long-term contract in March this year despite him being out with a serious leg injury.
Fofana is said to be honoured by the club's decision. He is unlikely to hand in a transfer request this summer.
Chelsea are yet to make a third bid for Fofana, but there is growing optimism that they will meet the Foxes' demands.
