Nottingham Forest to sign Houssem Aouar
Nottingham Forest are set to sign former Arsenal target Houssem Aouar on a permanent basis from Lyon.
The Premier League newcomers have been ultra busy in the transfer market, signing as many as 15 players.
They are expected to continue the spending spree with Aouar, who is set to leave Les Gones after several years.
Aouar was a top target for the Gunners in the summer of 2020, but a deal did not materialise between the clubs.
While Lyon were willing to negotiate, a move did not go through due to the excessive demands of Aouar's agent.
Back then, the midfielder was regarded as one of the best young talents in France, but has not progressed as planned.
Nevertheless, he would provide a solid upgrade for Forest, who are eyeing more creativity in the final third this term.
Aouar may not be the last signing of the transfer window for Forest, who are determined to avoid top-flight relegation.
