Cody Gakpo news

Gakpo on his way to Man Utd?

Manchester United have agreed personal terms with PSV Eindhoven star Cody Gakpo ahead of a potential transfer.

The Red Devils are determined to strengthen their attack before the transfer deadline, and have identified their top targets.

Antony of Ajax is the obvious priority for manager Erik ten Hag, but the Dutchman has also asked for the services of Gakpo.

It is now revealed that the 23-year-old is prepared to make the switch and has already agreed personal terms over a five-year deal.

Gakpo is currently focused on PSV's Champions League play-off second leg against Rangers which is scheduled to be played tomorrow.

The tie is balanced after the 2-2 draw in Glasgow last week, but PSV will fancy their chances of making the group stage with home advantage.

Once PSV know their European fate, they could be willing to negotiate for Gakpo. The fee could be higher if they make the Champions League.

In case they qualify for Europe's elite competition, it is claimed that they could demand as much as £42 million for the Netherlands international.
