Chelsea to make fresh move for Josko Gvardiol?
Chelsea will make a fresh attempt to sign RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol when the transfer window reopens.
The Blues were interested in the Croatian star this summer, and they attempted to sign him for the next campaign.
Negotiations were underway between the clubs, but the Blues were put off by the transfer demands of the German side.
The Blues were hoping to agree a deal worth €70m, but Leipzig made it clear that they wanted at least €90m plus add-ons.
Gvardiol has since signed a new deal, but Fabrizio Romano claims that the Blues will make a fresh January approach.
The west London giants remain keen on having the player for next season, but they are unlikely to receive any discounts.
It won't be a surprise if Leipzig command around €100m citing the fact that the centre-back is contracted until June 2027.
Gvardiol is regarded as one of the best young central defenders, and has also been linked with Real Madrid in recent months.
