Chelsea keeping tabs on Bayer Leverkusen winger?
Chelsea are deemed to be monitoring the performances of Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby, as per 90min.
The Blues were heavily linked with a summer move for AC Milan's Rafael Leao, but they could not afford his services.
The club were willing to pay £70m for the Portuguese, but Milan wanted them to trigger his £127m release clause.
Chelsea have not given up on Leao, but 90min report that Diaby is being considered as an alternative target.
The Frenchman was in sensational touch for Leverkusen last term, bagging 17 goals and 14 assists from 42 outings.
He has yet to replicate the form this season with just one goal and two assists from 10 games in all competitions.
Despite this, Chelsea are keeping a close eye on him, and may attempt to sign him during the January transfer window.
Leverkusen are said to value the 23-year-old at £61m. Arsenal are also among admirers of the versatile forward.
Chelsea are planning to spend £260m over the next two transfer windows.
