Liverpool handed big injury boost for Brighton game

Konate back in Liverpool training

Liverpool have been handed a big injury boost ahead of their Premier League encounter against Brighton & Hove Albion this weekend.

The Merseyside giants have been hampered by injuries this campaign, and Konate has been one of those, who has not played a single minute.

The Frenchman picked up an injury during a pre-season friendly against Strasbourg, and has since been on the sidelines undergoing his rehabilitation.

According to The Athletic, the Reds have now been handed a timely boost with the centre-back returning to full training alongside his teammates.

It is unclear whether he would be fit to face Brighton, but his return should please the club, who have endured a tough start to their league campaign.

Aside from Konate, captain Jordan Henderson looks set to make his comeback following a hamstring injury at the end of last month.

The midfielder was recently in action for England in the Nations League, having overcome the minor setback sustained against Newcastle United.
