Arsenal have been linked with a fresh move to sign Juventus midfielder Manuel Locatelli, according to Calciomercato.

The Gunners were hot on the trail of the Italian last year, but he turned down their advances to join Juventus from Sassuolo.

However, his time in Turin has been a mixed bag, and it is now reported that Mikel Arteta's side are back in for his services.

The north London giants have reportedly made contact with Locatelli's representatives to find out the player's stance.

Furthermore, it is added that Juventus would be willing to sell the midfielder for the right price during the next transfer window.

The Bianconeri signed Locatelli on a two-year loan from Sassuolo. They have an obligation to buy him for €35m next summer.

If the Gunners are serious interested, Juventus could trigger the clause in January before making a small profit through his sale.

Arsenal are widely expected to sign a central midfielder this winter, having failed to do so during the summer transfer window.
