Man Utd quoted fee to sign Cody Gakpo?
Manchester United will reportedly need to pay around £40 million to prise away Cody Gakpo from PSV Eindhoven in January.
The Red Devils were interested in landing the Netherlands star this summer, but they went out of budget after the purchase of Antony from Ajax.
Gakpo has since revealed that the club were keen on landing him, and Football Transfers claim that a fresh approach could be made this winter.
The club have bolstered their right side of their attack with the acquisition of Antony, and they are now planning to strengthening the opposite flank.
Gakpo has been identified as the perfect fit, particularly with his outstanding form. He has bagged 10 goals and nine assists from just 14 outings this term.
PSV were reportedly eyeing close to £45m for his services this summer, but it is claimed that they could accept a lesser sum of £40m in January.
Gakpo is widely expected to leave the Dutch Cup champions this winter. He was also wanted by Leeds, but decided to stay until the World Cup.
