Real Madrid still want to sign Chelsea star
Real Madrid continue to remain interested in signing Chelsea defender Reece James, according to Fichajes.
The England international is currently regarded as one of the undisputed starters for the London giants.
He recently signed a new six-year contract, but this has not necessarily cooled Madrid's interest.
According to Fichajes, the European champions are said to be monitoring James despite the renewal.
Dani Carvajal has been the regular right-back for Madrid, but he could be replaced in coming seasons.
Los Blancos are already planning for the future, and are willing to move for James in a few years' time.
James has been spectacular from the right-wing role for the Blues.
His performances have been rewarded with a bumper salary. The club are in a strong position to keep him.
Unless a staggering transfer bid is made, it is unlikely that Chelsea will ponder his potential departure.
Chelsea are currently fourth on the league table with 16 points on the board.
