Rafael Leao still on Man Utd radar

Portugal international forward Rafael Leao, currently playing for Serie A champions AC Milan, has been constantly linked with a move to Manchester United. Eyefootball understands that Erik Ten Hag will make yet another move for the 23-year-old in the January transfer window, after apparently agreeing to pay up to 50 million euros to sign the former Sporting Lisbon and Lille forward.

The versatile youngster, who is comfortable playing on the wing or up front as an attacker, caught the eye since his arrival at the San Siro and last season his 11 goals in 34 games helped AC Milan to a first Serie A title in more than a decade. In the same fashion, Leao has bagged four Serie A goals in nine games already in the 2022-23, going from strength to strength for a formidable Milan side.

The player, who has 11 caps to his name, emerged as a target for Man Utd back in the summer transfer window, and initial offers of 30 and 40 million euro were rejected by Milan. However, Ten Hag is confident that the 50 million euro price mark should be enough to acquire one of Europe's brightest talents.

It is understood that the Dutch manager hopes to pair Rafael Leao and Antony as the club's first choice wingers for the 2023/24 season.
