Ten Hag criticises two Man Utd stars

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag was unimpressed with two players after the goalless draw against Newcastle United.

The Red Devils could not extend their three-match winning run against the Magpies and they were made to rue for missed chances.

Fred had an open goal to shoot at in the 88th minute, but slashed wide.

Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford should have scored in the dying seconds, but his free header towards goal was directed wide of the far post.

Speaking after the frustrating stalemate, Ten Hag said that the club dictated the game and Fred and Rashford had to find the back of the net.

He said: "We dictated the game and in the end we could - we should - have scored the winning goal. One from Fred, and then [Marcus] Rashford had to score."

With the draw, United have now dropped three points behind Chelsea, who are occupying the final Champions League group spot.

They have no time to ponder over the result today, given they face Tottenham Hotspur in three days before making the trip to Chelsea.
