Man Utd defender available to face Real Sociedad

Manchester United have been handed a timely injury boost with Victor Lindelof available to face Real Sociedad.

The Swede was ruled out with an illness against West Ham on Sunday, but he has now returned to full training.

The centre-back has travelled with the squad to Spain and he could make an appearance against Sociedad tomorrow.

Harry Maguire partnered Lisandro Martinez last weekend. The club captain played a key role in the 1-0 win at home.

The England star made several clearances and also came up with a crucial block in stoppage time to deny an equaliser.

Lindelof is now fit for selection, but there is a high possibility that Maguire could get the nod over him in the line-up.

United must beat Sociedad by two clear goals tomorrow or else they won't be guaranteed the top spot in their group.

If the club were to finish second in Group E, they won't get a bye to the last 16 and could face a difficult last 32 tie.
