Liverpool plan contract talks with in-form striker
Liverpool are planning to hold contract talks with Roberto Firmino amid his impressive run of form this campaign.
The Brazilian struggled with multiple injuries last campaign and there were suggestions that he could be sold over the summer.
Despite the arrival of Darwin Nunez, Firmino opted to stay and the move has paid dividends with him finding his form again.
The 31-year-old has bagged eight goals and four assists from 18 matches and it is claimed that the club want to keep him longer.
His current deal expires in the summer of 2023, and the hierarchy are planning to reward him with a fresh two-year deal.
As things stand, Firmino will be free to discuss personal terms with foreign clubs when the transfer window reopens in January.
Juventus are among European clubs that could open talks with him, but there is a high possibility that he will continue with the Reds.
Firmino could make Brazil's World Cup squad amid an impressive turnaround of fortunes during the ongoing campaign.
