Arsenal and Spurs keeping tabs on Ligue 1 striker

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur could go head-to-head in the pursuit of Lille striker Jonathan David in January.
The Gunners have had a tremendous start to the campaign and they are presently top of the standings with 34 points.
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur are eight points adrift of the Gunners, but they are still within the Champions League spots.
Both clubs will want to strengthen their strikeforce in January and it is now reported that David could be a realistic target.
The Canadian has netted nine goals from 14 games for Lille this campaign. He is expected to play a key role at the World Cup.
A strong showing in Qatar this winter could enhance his reputation and we could see both Gunners and Spurs move for him.
Lille value their striker at €45 million but his price could go up in the coming months if he manages to impress at the World Cup.
Manchester United have also been linked with his services lately.
