The 'will he wont he' saga has finally ended today as Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini has signed a four year deal with AC Milan.

The 24 year old French star has been a revelation this season, starting every league game he has been available for. However, he has now been convinced to join the Italian side on a Bosman transfer and is delighted with the move.

“I am really happy, thanks to everyone,” is what he told reporters after completing the deal in Milan.

The Rossoneri Director, Adriano Braida, went on to add, “I have to say Flamini was a player that Ancelotti really wanted and Milan is like a family, where decisions are made jointly,"

"Flamini is not an unknown player. Although no negotiations are easy, it wasn't difficult to convince Flamini to join Milan.

"Flamini has made a choice as his contract with Arsenal is coming to an end and we are delighted he has chosen Milan. He is a very good player and he can offer a lot to the team."

No doubt Arsene Wenger already has a replacement in line, with Lille powerhouse Jean Makoun looking the most likely.
