Arsenal interested in signing Bundesliga striker

Arsenal have emerged as fresh contenders to sign Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram in January.

The Frenchman has been in superb form for the German club this term with 13 goals and four assists from 17 games.

His performances have caught the eye of several European sides and Sport claim that Arsenal have entered the race.

The 25-year-old will enter the final six months of his Monchengladbach deal in January and he has no plans to renew.

The Bundesliga outfit could be tempted to sell him for a knockdown fee and Arsenal will be aiming to take advantage.

Thuram has played every game from the centre-forward role this term but he is also capable of playing on the left wing.

His versatility should entice the Gunners, who are aiming to bolster their attack to sustain their league title charge.

The club are currently top of the Premier League with 37 points on the board, five ahead of holders Manchester City.
