Martinez to Real Madrid?

Real Madrid are planning a shock swoop for Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez, according to Defensa Central.

The Red Devils bolstered their central defence with Antonio Rudiger in the summer, but they could re-invest at the end of the season.

Nacho has been touted to leave on a free transfer and it is reported that the club have their sights on landing Martinez from Old Trafford.

Martinez joined the Red Devils from Ajax earlier this summer. He had a tough start, but has since evolved into a crucial player for them.

He is currently one of the first names on the teamsheet under manager Erik ten Hag. It would come as a surprise if United sell him so soon.

Meanwhile, Los Blancos have also been credited with an interest in landing Diogo Dalot amid the uncertainty surrounding his United future.

United have the option to keep Dalot until the summer of 2024, but they are yet to open negotiations with the Portuguese over a fresh deal.
