Arsenal pushing to sign Shakhtar starlet
Arsenal are pushing to sign Shakhtar Donetsk star Mykhaylo Mudryk during the January transfer window, according to David Ornstein.
The north London giants were heavily linked with the 21-year-old last summer, but a transfer did not materialise before the deadline.
The Gunners have continued to keep tabs on the forward, who has 10 goals and eight assists this term. They are prepared to sign him next month.
Shakhtar recently said that they won't accept less than €100m for Mudryk, but Arsenal are quite confident of signing him for a lesser transfer fee.
Mudryk has already revealed his desire to join the Gunners and it is now claimed that he is determined to move to the club this winter.
Apart from the Gunners, Newcastle United have also been heavily linked with Mudryk, but the Ukrainian has a clear mindset at the moment.
Arsenal look on course to make him their first signing of January. They could make many more signings in the quest for the league title.
