Chelsea suffer fresh injury blow in Aston Villa friendly

Chelsea have suffered a fresh injury blow during their 1-0 friendly defeat to Aston Villa on Sunday.

The Blues have been hampered by numerous injury problems this season. N'Golo Kante, Reece James, Wesley Fofana and Ben Chilwell are all on the sidelines

They have now suffered a fresh blow with Broja picking up a knee injury. The striker was in pain after a collision with Ezri Konsa and he needed to be stretched off.

The Blues have yet to provide an update on him, but judging by the nature of the setback, it appears the Albanian could be sidelined for an extended period of time.

The west London giants are known to be searching for a new striker in January and their pursuit could be fastened after the setback for Broja.

Meanwhile, there are also doubts over Trevoh Chalobah's fitness. The Blues graduate was pulled out of the starting line-up at the last minute and may have suffered an injury of his own.
