Chelsea finally agree deal to sign French star
Chelsea have finally reached an agreement to sign RB Leipzig star Christopher Nkunku next summer, Fabrizio Romano claims.
The Blues have been long-term admirers of the France international and they have now finalised his transfer from Leipzig.
As part of the deal, the club will pay around €70m in multiple installments starting from next summer when he will join them.
There were initially suggestions that the attacker could move to Stamford Bridge in January, but his knee injury ended that possibility.
Nkunku is currently out for another six weeks with the setback and the Blues will be hoping that he will be in the perfect shape next summer.
Aside from the Frenchman, the Blues are also pushing to sign his teammate Josko Gvardiol in a pre-agreement for the 2023/24 season.
The Blues spent a staggering £270m on new signings last summer, and it appears they could make a similar outlay again next year.
Nkunku should be a brilliant signing for them with his goals and creativity. He is capable of playing anywhere in attack for his team.
