Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is reportedly keen on landing Benfica striker Goncalo Ramos next year.

The Portuguese has been in fantastic form for Benfica this season with 21 goals contributions from as many games.

He has also excellent for his country at the World Cup. Ramos scored a stellar hat-trick in the 6-1 win over Switzerland.

As a result, he is already in huge demand in the transfer market and Ten Hag is reportedly keen on luring him to United.

According to Calciomercato, the 21-year-old is the number one target for the Dutch tactician to bolster his strikeforce.

However, a transfer could be complicated by the fact that Benfica won't listen to any bids for their prized asset in January.

The only way United can sign him is by triggering the €120 million release clause on his contract. It is unlikely to happen.

United are reportedly said to be working on a limited budget this winter. They may not spend more than €40m on signings.
