Diego Simeone refuses to rule out exit for Arsenal target
Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has refused to rule out the prospect of Joao Felix leaving the club during the January transfer window.
The Portuguese has played just over 800 minutes of first-team football for Atletico this term, and he is determined to leave them this winter.
Arsenal are among the high-profile teams in contact with his agent and Simeone has now refused to rule out his potential mid-season exit.
Speaking to reporters today, Simeone said that no one is indispensable and he did not categorically rule out the prospect of Felix leaving the club.
He said: "No one is indispensable and things will be as they have to be. It is very important for us. He has had a good World Cup, he participated in goals with the importance that the coach gave him."
Arsenal have been in contact with agent Jorge Mendes in recent days and they could attempt to land Felix on an initial loan agreement.
Aside from the Gunners, Chelsea, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have also been linked with the Portuguese.
