Jorginho eyes Chelsea stay

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has hinted that he would like to sign a new long-term contract with the west London club.

The Italian has been with the Blues for the past four-and-a-half seasons, but it is uncertain whether he will continue next term.

His current deal expires at the end of the campaign and talks over a renewal have apparently stalled over wage differences.

Jorginho is eyeing close to £200,000-a-week to renew, but the Blues are reluctant to offer more than £150,000 weekly.

On top of this, they are only willing to negotiate a short-term deal. Despite this, Jorginho has now said that he is fully focused at Chelsea.

He told TalkSPORT: "Of course I do, I love Chelsea, but this is a thing I'm not going to think about now. I need to think about winning games. Otherwise it's a problem."

"I'll focus game by game and then we'll see what's going to happen, but my mind is on Chelsea now and trying to win as many games as possible."

Aside from Jorginho, Chelsea are also facing the prospect of losing N'Golo Kante on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Kante has snubbed their proposal on the table and he is apparently in talks with Barcelona over a pre-contract deal in January.
