Man Utd ready to sell left-back in January?

Manchester United are reportedly prepared to sell Brandon Williams when the transfer window reopens next month.

The United graduate missed the start of the campaign with an injury and he has yet to make a competitive appearance.

The left-back was involved in the winter friendlies earlier this month, but The Athletic claim that he could leave soon.

Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are currently the preferred left-back choices under Erik ten Hag and Williams is down the pecking order.

Brighton & Hove Albion were interested in signing him in the summer and they could return for his services in January.

Aside from the Seagulls, there could be interest from Southampton, who previously tried to land him on a short-term loan.

United are likely to make at least one marquee signing next month. A versatile forward is reportedly the main priority.

A right-back is also being eyed by Ten Hag, but the hierarchy are only expected to consider a loan approach.
