Weghorst to sign for Man Utd

Manchester United are set to complete the signing of Burnley striker Wout Weghorst on a short-term loan deal until May 31.

The Netherlands international had an impressive World Cup in Qatar. He scored two key goals in the thrilling quarter-final against Argentina.

Weghorst recently rejoined Benfica where he has been on loan since the summer, but it is now reported that he will move to Old Trafford.

According to Foot Mercato, the Dutchman has agreed terms with the Red Devils and he is expected to join them in the next few days.

Weghorst was spotted saying his farewell to Besiktas fans today and he has since followed Manchester United in his Instagram account.

United have definitely made a surprise decision to sign Weghorst, but he could be a good acquisition due to his physical and aerial presence.

The Dutchman has the attributes to succeed in the Premier League. He is a traditional striker and could offer something different for United.
