Arsenal pushing for Felix

Arsenal have entered fresh talks with Atletico Madrid over a loan switch for Joao Felix.

The Gunners have earmarked the Portuguese as one of their prime targets for the transfer window.

They plan to sign him on a short-term loan deal but it depends on Atletico's eventual demands.

The Spanish outfit want £16 million to sanction the move, but the Gunners are aiming to lower the fee.

They have now held a fresh round of talks with the Madrid club in the hope of finalising a suitable deal.

Aside from Felix, the Gunners are also aiming to land Mykhaylo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk.

They are currently locked in talks with the Ukrainian club and remain optimistic of landing him.

Chelsea are also keen on signing the 21-year-old but Arsenal are confident that the player will choose them.

Hence, the Gunners are prepared to stay patient to negotiate his permanent move in the coming weeks.

Arsenal face Oxford United in the FA Cup third round on Monday night.
