Arsenal are prepared to make a fresh bid to sign Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo, according to The Mail.

The north London giants have been chasing the Ecuadorian's signature over the past few days, but are yet to find an agreement.

Their initial bid of £60 million was snubbed by the Seagulls, who have been insistent that they don't have any desire to sell him.

The Gunners have not given up on the player yet and reports claim that they are ready to make a fresh bid of £70m including add-ons.

If Brighton turn down the proposal, it is claimed that they could move on to other targets such as Real Sociedad's Martin Zubimendi.

Zubimendi has been hesitant to leave Sociedad midway through the campaign, but there is still hope of convincing him to join.

While Sociedad don't want to sell him at the moment, the Gunners have the option of triggering a £53m release clause in his deal.
