Chelsea and Man Utd to battle for Portuguese keeper?
Chelsea and Manchester United could compete for the services of Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa in the summer.
The Portuguese has been a revelation for the Primeira Liga side over the past year and he has been touted for a big club move.
Both Chelsea and Man Utd are keeping tabs and it is now reported that the duo must trigger the €75m release clause to sign him.
Costa has built his reputation with his superb reflexes in goal and he could be seen as a replacement for David de Gea at United.
On the other hand, Chelsea could make him their number one goalkeeper ahead of the likes of Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy.
Both clubs are likely to invest heavily this summer, though the Blues' spending could be lesser amid the enormous outlay in January.
They are already facing the threat of Financial Fair Play sanctions. The club may need to offload players first before making more purchases.
