Chelsea handed Romelu Lukaku transfer boost?
Chelsea have been handed a transfer boost on Romelu Lukaku ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Belgian rejoined the Blues from Inter Milan in the summer of 2021 but he had a dismal season with just 15 goals in all competitions.
Following a fall-out with manager Thomas Tuchel, Lukaku was loaned back to the Nerazzurri last summer, but he has barely impressed.
The 29-year-old has just two goals and one assist from 11 games this term amid injuries, but Inter are open to loaning him again.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Milan giants are willing to extend his loan stay for another campaign if Chelsea lower their demands.
They re-signed him from the Blues for €8m last summer and are hoping to pay half of that fee to land him on another season-long loan.
Chelsea are yet to make a decision over the striker's future, but they could be tempted to accept the terms, provided there is an option to buy.
