Graham Potter provides update on Thiago Silva's injury
Chelsea manager Graham Potter has provided an update on Thiago Silva's injury following the Premier League defeat at Tottenham Hotspur.
The Blues have been in dreadful form in the league in recent months and they suffered a 2-0 loss to Spurs on the road earlier on Sunday.
In the same game, Silva was taken off early in the first half with a knee injury and Potter is hopeful that the concern is not too serious.
He said: "I’m not sure. Hopefully it’s not too serious but I haven’t spoken to the doctor enough to have a diagnosis for you."
Silva has been a key player for the west London giants. The 38-year-old recently put pen-to-paper on a new deal until next season.
The Blues obviously value his experience in the squad and they will be hoping that he has not suffered a serious injury against Spurs.
Chelsea are now winless in five straight league games. They are 14 points adrift of fourth-placed Spurs, having played a game less.
