Man Utd set price tag for Scott McTominay
Manchester United have set their asking price for midfielder Scott McTominay amid interest from Newcastle United.
The Scotland international was a regular starter at the beginning of the season but lost his place to Casemiro in early October.
He has since been a fringe player for the club and ESPN claim that he is likely to be sold at the end of the current campaign.
The Magpies are currently the front-runners to sign the United graduate, though they are unwilling to meet the price tag.
The Red Devils are presently looking for more than £40 million and may have to lower the final fee to sanction his departure.
Aside from the Magpies, West Ham United and Everton have also been linked with the Scot ahead of the next transfer window.
The duo are currently fighting to avoid relegation from the top-flight and may not be lucrative destinations for the 25-year-old.
McTominay will be hoping to make his 200th appearance for United when they host Real Betis in the Europa League tomorrow.
