Arsenal pushing to sign Champions League winner?
Arsenal are reportedly in regular contact with the agent of Real Madrid playmaker Marco Asensio.
The Spaniard has made over 200 appearances for the European champions but he is no longer an assured starter.
Asensio has six goals and five assists for Madrid this season, but he has been restricted to cameo appearances.
Hence, he is prepared to leave the club when his contract expires in June and Sport cite that Arsenal are keen on him.
The north London giants have been in constant talks with Jorge Mendes who became Asensio's agent last year.
Asensio would be a fantastic recruit for the Gunners as he can play anywhere in attack behind the striker.
On a free transfer, he would be a huge bargain for the Gunners, though the wages could be on the higher end.
Asensio is already earning £180,000-a-week and would expect £250,000-a-week at his next club.
Aside from Arsenal, AC Milan and Barcelona are also in the mix to land the Spaniard on a Bosman deal this summer.
