Erik ten Hag confirms big Man Utd injury boost

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has confirmed the availability of Anthony Martial ahead of Sunday's Premier League game against Southampton.

The Red Devils suffered an embarrassing 7-0 league defeat at Liverpool last weekend but they managed to redeem themselves by beating Real Betis in the Europa League.

Ten Hag will now be aiming for the same response against the Saints in the top-flight and ahead of the game, he has confirmed that Martial is fit to make the matchday squad.

The Frenchman has had an injury-plagued season with the Red Devils and he has been sidelined for the past 10 games with a nagging hip problem.

He recently returned to team training for the Red Devils and Ten Hag looks set to welcome him to the matchday squad for Sunday's league clash.

United are currently seven points ahead of fifth-placed Liverpool and will be aiming to strengthen their top-four bid with a victory this weekend.

This will be the club's final league game before the international break.
