Arsenal enter race to sign Chelsea midfield target
Arsenal have reportedly joined Chelsea and Manchester United in the race to sign Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia this summer.
The Belgian joined the Saints from Manchester City for £14 million last summer and he has since been impressive for them.
The youngster has caught the eye with his quality distribution while he has also been effective with his tackling and ability to win duels.
Hence, he has been touted for a big-club move and Calciomercato cite that the Gunners have now joined their rivals in the transfer pursuit.
Manchester City currently have a buy-out clause worth £40m for the midfielder but that will only become active in June next year.
Hence, the Saints have the freedom to negotiate this summer and could demand a higher transfer fee if they avoid relegation from the English top tier.
Southampton have won two of their previous three league games but they face a huge test against Manchester United on the road tomorrow.
