Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof has opened the door to leaving the club this summer.

The Sweden international has fallen down the pecking order this term and he has hardly played this year.

Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez have been the regular centre-back pairing over the past few months.

Harry Maguire has been chosen to provide back-up which has left Lindelof sitting on the bench disappointed.

Speaking to reporters, Lindelof has now hinted that he could assess his future following the end of the campaign.

He said: "Like I said, I want to play, that's why I play football, I want to play games, but I haven't thought about that [transfer away], right now."

"I'm just focusing on the national team and then of course, the rest of the season with the club. Then in the summer we'll re-evaluate and see what is best."

Apart from Lindelof, Harry Maguire could also head for the exit door this summer in search for regular game time.

The Red Devils are planning to land a centre-back for next season, but their plans may change if Lindelof also leaves.

They could be forced to sign two new central defenders this summer.
