Man Utd no longer want Mitrovic

Manchester United have cooled their interest in signing Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic after the recent FA Cup outing.

The Serbian has been in good form for the Cottagers this term, bagging 12 goals from 25 appearances in all competitions.

One of those came in the FA Cup quarter-final against United last weekend, but the game ended on a sour note for him.

Fulham were in the driving seat to beat the Red Devils until Willian was sent off for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity.

In the same sequence of events, Mitrovic was handed his marching orders with a straight red card after shoving the referee in frustration.

It is now reported that United have cooled their pursuit of Mitrovic on the back of his poor conduct towards the referee.

The club were pondering over a summer approach for his services, but are now prepared to look elsewhere for a striker.

Mitrovic is currently suspended for three domestic games but the FA are likely to hand him a bigger ban for the incident.
