The centre-back has struggled for regular game time with the Red Devils and he is likely to leave this summer.

A number of foreign clubs are interested in him but it is claimed that he would prefer to continue in England.

It is now reported by The Sun that the Foxes could make a loan move for his services if they beat the drop.

The Midlands outfit have had a dreadful campaign in the top-flight and they are currently 19th in the table.

However, they are just a point behind safety at the moment and will be hoping to turn things around.

Brendan Rodgers was recently sacked by the Foxes and this could bring a change in their own fortunes.

The club have yet to announce their new head coach but Rodgers' exit could lead to a strong reaction from the players.
