Liverpool midfielder could miss rest of the season
Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita could miss the rest of the campaign after picking up a muscle injury on international duty.
The 28-year-old has had a disappointing career with the Reds. He could leave them on a free transfer when his contract expires in June.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has now revealed that he could be touch-and-go for the rest of the season after suffering a fresh setback.
He said: "Naby is out, he came back with a muscle injury from the national team. We will see how long it takes but obviously the season is not too long anymore. There is a chance that Naby comes back."
The Reds are expected to reshuffle their midfield options this summer and there could be several players heading for the exit door.
Apart from Keita, James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could part ways when their deals expire at the end of the campaign.
Thiago Alcantara could also make way from the club. The Spaniard is very talented but has spent a lot of time in the treatment room.
