Marseille to battle Arsenal for long-term target?
Marseille could compete with Arsenal in the race to sign Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha this summer.
Zaha has been a long-term target for the Gunners and it has been claimed that they could sign him on a free transfer.
However, they are not alone in the pursuit and Foot Mercato claim that Marseille could make an offer of their own.
Zaha has just three months left on his Palace contract and he has no plans of putting pen-to-paper on another extension.
It is certain that he will walk away from the South London side and it is left to be seen whether Arsenal land his services.
The Gunners have followed him closely for a number of campaigns and they could finally bring him to the Emirates.
Marseille are also a lucrative destination but Zaha may prefer to stay in London and play Champions League football.
Zaha could demand wages of around £150,000-a-week on top of a decent signing-on fee to join the Gunners this summer.
